Very weird hand, 400nl
Hey, ok so this was a very weird situation.
Villain is 21/5/6.0, 100 hands. I take this to mean he is overaggressive postflop but he has to have some sense to him because of VPIP and some passiveness because of PFR. Here is the weird part about the hand: I am running 60/50 at this point, and this is 20 hands in. I've had AK like 10 times already. I have won 3 pots over 200 with no showdown, and one 400 pot with a showdown where I had AQ. This has already been mentioned in the chat by other players and they are all noticing, so my image is crazy. Given these things, how do you play this hand? I will give my thoughts on why I played it like this later. Re: Very weird hand, 400nl
looks fine to me, river is obvious, flop can be raised but im guessing youre looking for some pot control since you have a crazy image? also, since you have this crazy image, do you want to be raising marginal hands preflop from middle position? im not familiar with 2/4 at all though, idk if this is more standard than 1/2 and .5/1

Re: Very weird hand, 400nl
Got value from the ton of overs hands and got a good price for TP from far fewer overpair hands. Like it.

pattay; Do you mean you think I should raise this instead of call?
The call is because my implieds are through the roof with any and everyone that calls. |

Re: Very weird hand, 400nl
$60 on the flop and get that [censored] in. He has 60 BB and you have like 14 outs at worst. Preflop is pretty gross btw. Also, where did the rest of your stack go from the $500 those pots should have raked you in?

Anyways can you give me some pros for getting it in on the flop? Cons: Can get entire stack later in the hand if I hit |

Re: Very weird hand, 400nl
Pros to getting it in on the flop is you have FE vs. air for the $50 immediate profit and are like 50% is he gets it in vs. you with dead money in the pot. Also, I don't think he's gonna be getting it AI with air later in which case its the same result. As played I think the river is a fold because I can't see him bluffing you here.
I obv never implied that you didn't lose some. Just the opposite actually. I just wanted to know how you lost it. Calling down thin? Bluffing? Coolered? Owned? |

Re: Very weird hand, 400nl
2 of the AK's went down in big pots.
Anyways, I think he calls all-in with Ace high, so I definitely have 0 fold equity. Maybe I push for value though. This hand has paid off multiple times already throughout the night from this guy now.
