i've got some mild nerve damage in my left shoulder/arm that causes it to be quite unresponsive at times. this is causing me problems when doing dumbbell presses/flyes/etc in sync with my 'normal' arm, especially when i increase the weight. my left arm isn't any 'weaker' than my right arm, it's just very uncoordinated by comparison. any suggestions?
thanks! |

I'm no expert, but what makes sense to me is keeping the input of stimuli of high quality. Don't work it to exhaustion, but when you are concentrated on what you are doing. This will help keep your developing neuromuscular coordination at a high level. You might also want to do shoulder work one limb at a time, to help your focus. Basically, go for quality over quantity and try your best to be extremely focused.
