the dreaded three pair

I see this situation a lot.
Live 3/6. Assume multiway action.
I have A24J and the flop comes A24. I have 6 outs to the boat. I'm betting out early and folding this anytime I have to call two cold. Is that right?

Same hand, but now the flop comes AJ2. I'm playing more aggressively since the low is unlikely.
