Re: Reraise this river with trips?
you guys obviously wanted to play a small pot. here's where aggression pays off; there's an outside chance he has KT but more likely he's got you on a J and trying to min bet the river. there's also an outside chance he has a naked ace trying to catch up. a decent 20 raise is good. but it would help to see the stack sizes.

Re: Reraise this river with trips?
I think I'd just call like you did.
His minraise on the turn was likely a "you don't have a queen" or "I've got you beat but don't want to loose you". Once you called he probably doesn't think you have a queen but if he's holding a J the ace is a scare card and the $8 could be a blocker. If this is the case he's probably not calling a raise. If this isn't the case and he has you beat you're likely going to get 3 bet which would suck. |
