maximize my winnings or shut one opponent out of the pot?
Hi everybody,
I just had to play the following spot in a NL hold em MTT: Blinds are 75/150, I have approximately 4300 in chips, which is just below average. It is 10 handed and everyone folded to the cutoff which moved all in for his remaining 1043 or so chips. I know nothing about him. The button makes the call. He has about 7000 in chips and I know that he plays very loose. I am sitting in the SB with KK. Given the fact that I know how loose the button plays, I raise to 2000. BB folds, button calls and we see a flop of: Q83, where I move in the rest of my chips,"2300". He makes the call with 78o and I lose to his rivered trip eights and I am out of the tournament. So I thought to myself afterwards, that I couldīve raised him out of the pot preflop and won a bit more than 2000 chips. The way I played, the pot was nearly 10000. Is it worth the risk to accumulate chips here to play the way I did, or would you just shove it in? Thx for your answers |

+don't min raise
+if your M (stack-blind/antes ratio) is <10 = push pre-flop or fold |

+if your M (stack-blind/antes ratio) is <10 = push pre-flop or fold [/ QUOTE ] Why? I'd probably flat call PF if button is teh suck, or push if you're confident he'd call. Min-reraising is pretty bad, basically broadcasting your hand. |

The play is fine, you just need to avoid getting rivered. |
