Odd bet sizing
I started to type my bets instead of using the slider after watching a few rare people who will always type odd amounts like 132 and also the WCOOP where stuff like $79,999 seemed common. It is pretty stuck on me now and I have no desire to change but how does this affect my opponents?
Occasionally people will give me hell for it, so I know it must get under their skin. I am starting to use bets like 199 in 25/50 blinds less because I think that it makes some table image that I don't always want. I could go on but just curious what you all think first |

It makes you look like a fool IMHO which I am sure you're not.

If it's good enough for EM2, it's good enough for you.

Re: Odd bet sizing
I was in a SNG once and there was this guy who kept betting 111, 222, 1234 etc, which just made me think wtf. Whatever floats your boat...

Re: Odd bet sizing
I do this time to time in a tourney just to make it harder for peeps to do mat in some pots. But it can put a target on you if you keep it up.

Re: Odd bet sizing
Its not a "bad" thing for you, and it can only affect those around you. Doing this you either - annoy the hell outta people, make people think wtf is this fool doing, make people have to work harder with thier math (although maybe margionally), OCCASIONALLY cause someone thats not paying attention to think you are all-in, and make the pot seem visually bigger with all the chips stacked in weird denominations in front of you. If you cause any of these things to happen they can only help you to some degree. I guess the only consequence is possibly OVER typing your bet amount sometimes (which can happen to anyone - even not doing this) and listening to people whine at you. So if it makes you happy go for it.
