[/ QUOTE ]CJS - I'd call one bet on the river. Chances are your two pairs, aces over queens with a king kicker is the best high hand.

I would bet the turn and call a potential bet on the river. But you have to know that I am not a Limit O8 player and my advice could be not the best.

Do you think it is worth a call on the river with such a small pot? I'm calling 1 bb to win less than 2 bbs with no lock for high.

If you have been betting the turn you will call 1 BB to win 2.5 BB at the river. That gives you surely enough pot odds to justify a call.

Even as played I guess there is no big difference in the long run between a call or fold at the river.

Sorry I'm a newbie but a better line would be to bet or fold on the flop???
I don't think 2 pair is good here..... But for just 1 bet I would look him up here for future hands

Yep, the OP is being inconsistent.

If the player is loose-passive, are a pair of K's without a Lo draw going to be good, when that player leads out into you on a flop?

Once you call, and check behind on the turn, you're inducing a bluff. If your hand isn't worth a call on the river, then your flop call was poor. You have A's up Q's and a K kicker, and you hope the loose player has a countfeited hand.

Pre-flop, you have position, top set and nut flush potential for Hi, with an emergency Lo. But is it a good hand for the situation?

OK, it'd be OK HU v BB, but is it really worth a raise against a loose early pos limper?

If UTG was tight-passive and going to fold frequently post-flop (having limped with a 1 way hand Hi or Lo), I can buy it, but a Fish?

I think you are correct the flop was a bad call. The LP leading actually surprised me. I actually thought he was betting the Q with a low. When he checked the turn I froze. By the river I thought I totally butchered the hand and didn't feel risking the bb was worth the return. I used all my time on the river as I really thought I was folding the high winner.

So if he had top pair + Lo, wasn't he a favourite? But do passive players actually do that? Or do they check/call until they have "made a hand"?

To me it looks he bet a set, check-ed a full house hoping to check/raise you, and then bet the river having given a free card to your probable Lo draw.

Tried top pair + 2nd nut Lo against your 'best' hand. I'm giving the player hands with an Ace and a Lo card, because noone else entered the pot, making it more likely the player had that holding.

You're calling to protect previous investment, you'ld not gain anything by going on the attack because there's no chance that player will fold.

But he's betting... Let's give him a trashy looking hand

pokenum -o8 ad 6d kh kc - ac 8c 4c 4d -- qd 6h 4s

Ac 8c 4c 4d 557 691 129 0 376 0 144 0.832

Now if he'll bet a set then you're in a hole.

Pre-flop your edge against a filthy hand was

pokenum -mc 500000 -o8 ad 6d kh kc - ac 8c 4c 4d
Omaha Hi/Low 8-or-better: 500000 sampled boards

Ac 8c 4c 4d 108054 156792 343208 0 200627 34998 11130 0.411

The problem is, even then he wasn't likely to be making a mistake. You got the blinds out, and he has his odds despite a very favourable pre-flop situation.
