Default power surge fried my power source in my comp any worries?

I change the power source after a power surge and so far my comp seems perfectly fine, (been messing around with it for the last 4 hrs.) Is there any test I can do to make sure no software is busted? I know that software can be real finicky and dont wanna run into something down the line and not know whats up.

I don't think I'd worry about it. If Windows (assuming it's a PC) gets up and running, you're probably fine.

If you really want to be certain, there are two things you can try that should give you 99.9% confidence:

You can fire up Memtest86+ (http://www.memtest.org/) which is free and will tell you if there are any memory problems.

You can use Windows to scan your hard disk(s) for error. Right click the drive letter in explorer, select properties, and then tools (at least in XP).

Software doesn't break like that. Hardware does.
