Re: Terrible Play, have to call?
Yes you're right to call, but you were wrong to only put 2/3rds of your chips in initially because you're committed to calling. Best to get all your chips in if you're going to make this move and increase your fold equity.

Re: Terrible Play, have to call?
If you are the first to enter the pot and want to push T9s, that would be fine. However in this case, with UTG1 already in and BB still to act, I would let it go and wait for a spot where I could be the first to shove. If I was going to reraise in this spot, I would go ahead and shove (not save t2230). As played, you might as well go ahead and call off your last t2230. |

Re: Terrible Play, have to call?
With Seat 1: Rip_AKo (6,620)
Villains sees limpers and raises 4,390 - right away he's not folding for an additional $2,230 because he's pot comitted so you've effectively put yourself into a horrible coin flip at best. |

Bad play-Yes
Have to Call-Yes Wait to push as first in with a hand like T9 |

Re: Terrible Play, have to call?
I did put myself in a terrible spot, the guy that limped in EP was extremely active and he wasn't calling many RR's, but would raise up any pair almost everytime. Just played the hand like I'd play a big pair, knew I wasn't completely dominated, just didn't know how weak the ace was or the pair. With that guy, I figured it was still his stack going on in the flop with is 6k, he only has 10k, is he going to push in 2-6's, I didn't think so if he even did have a pair, but I guess I was wrong.

Re: Terrible Play, have to call?
With an active open limper and a caller I would push this everytime - T9o has some showdown value, you have FE, no one has shown strength and your M is already low - but here your stack is still large enought to try a steal.
Your bet size was weird. You can play a go'n'go - but therefor it was too large, but the best solution is simply to push. |

Re: Terrible Play, have to call?
^^^ agreed. With 2 limpers, the raise would be fine, if it had been a push.
