Default T2 hits a boat on the turn in blind vs. blind

Flop and turn both in question. Wanted to play for stacks so tried to 3-bet the turn. Might it have been more +EV to smooth call and likely get another bet on the river?

SB ($39.05)

I'd probably bet the flop. Start building a pot and hope he has something he wants to play. On the turn I'm raising. He's giving you a chance to put the money in so I'd take it. If you only smooth call the pot probably isn't going to be large enough to get all in on the river.
