Default FTP 3/6NL Is this hand played bad?

What do you think about my line? I know a flop c/r could be used but is calling the flop that bad? Is the c/c down standard. Did i make a mistake with this hand? thanks

i don't mind the flop call--mixing it up once in a while is important (i'd obv rather be in position though)

i'd prob push the turn though b/c lots of annoying cards could come on the river (that could either kill your action or put you behind in the hand).

UTG raiser + two diamonds = check-raise flop. Check-calling = not on this board + quite bad. There really shouldn't be much debate about this.

c/c would be better on a drier flop. this flop is drawy as hell and most players will be more than happy to shove QQ-AA and AJ type hands if you check raise.

edit: whoops, thought the Td was a flop card, thus making a super drawy board. i still prefer c/r tho.

Drawy as hell is clearly an overstatement. There's a fd possible, yes.

I agree raising the flop usualy is better.

So the hand was played badly? Now that i look at it, i so wish i would have checked raised. But besides the diamonds it just wasnt a scary board. I guess the fact that there is a utg raiser as said above and the pot is being played multiway, makes this a check raise 100% of the time.

the pt is that you shouldn't take on a formulaic mindset.

obv it's best to raise this flop in a lot of instances; but, it's just as good to call the flop to mix things up if you have solid reasons to do so.
