Monotone flush flop, you hold the nut flush draw.
Full Tilt No-Limit Hold'em, $0.10 BB (6 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums)
MP ($19.25) CO ($8.90) Hero ($9.60) SB ($17.50) BB ($11.50) UTG ($10) Preflop: Hero is Button with Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. MP calls $0.10, CO calls $0.10, Hero raises to $0.55, 2 folds, MP calls $0.45, CO calls $0.45. Flop: ($1.80) 3[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (4 players) MP bets $2, CO raises to $7.8, Hero? My question is, is it ever profitable to call something like this? It obviously seems like CO has the flush, maybe with low cards, or a set or 2pair or something. Is this always a fold or is that completely villain related? Villain is 34/12/1 over 80 hands. The first bettor had a VPIP in the high 80's, and he donked his chips into every pot, regardless of what he had(CBET whore). |

Re: Monotone flush flop, you hold the nut flush draw.
Not with bets like that. Your implied odds pretty much go to zero, unless you can put MP/CO on a hand like KsXs and know they will be unwilling to give you credit for the nut flush.
You aren't getting close to proper odds, plus I usually assume that at least two of my outs are being held by the other players. The only time i see this as a +EV play is...I don't really, but if you know you can win all the money if the 4th club hits (i don't see how you could think this, however) |
