Default 100NL: Deepstacked...Action Killing/Cooler River

CO was 24/4 after 70 hands. When he calls the turn, I think it's a lock that he has AA, KK, or quad jacks. What's the best way to play the river?

Ultimate Bet - No Limit Hold'em Cash Game - $0.50/$1 Blinds - 8 Players

SB: $66.50
BB: $98.50
UTG: $38.10
UTG+1: $20.30
MP1: $118.25
Hero (MP2): $172.00
CO: $305.75
BTN: $100.00

Preflop: Hero is dealt Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (8 Players)

Turn: ($43.50) 2[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 Players)

shove and hope he doesn't snap call you. I don't like leading the flop that much really.

Though this river sucks big style, I can't see how you can get away from your hand in this spot. If you dont want to play for stacks any longer you could try a blocking bet for like 40 - 55 but if he shoves you have to call anyway as he would only beat you with AA (JJ is just too sick), but you still beat AJ, KJ, AK, KK, QJ (very unprobable though, I admit) and some weird flush...

If his range is AA, KK, JJ then obviously you check-fold this river.

What hand calls a shove and loses? Obviously J-x, but at 24/4, I'm willing to assume he's not 3tinybetting with those hands.

Why not? He either has an overpair/quads or nothing...might as well betbetbet.

And in case this isn't obvious, the size of the bets is obviously designed so I can shove for less than a PSB on brick rivers.

I think he calls AJ, AQ and maybe KK on the river as well as AK if he somehow gets there, but I doubt he does. I don't see him ever betting this river period without AJ, AA, or JJ and he's obviously calling with all of those. Also, I doubt you're planning on a c/f so might as well hope for a hero call.

I understand why your bet sizing was what it was. The line I would prefer to take though is c/c then donk the turn and shove the river. This gives him a chance to cbet air for one and also gets him a card to potentially make a straight with a hand like AK or any other second best hand. Also, I don't tend to believe players who c/c and then donk the turn and usually go to the felt with my overpairs at that point, but obviously thats my bias.

Shove and hope he gives you credit for the Cho Dai Di duece-high-wrap-around-super-royal-flush and folds his quad jacks.

I don't think it matters much what you do here, honestly. His calling range is almost the same as his betting range. Is he more likely to bluff the river or make a hero call?

I still don't get what hand calls a shove on the river that doesn't shove on it's own. If he has KK, he's not calling a shove, but he might call a small bet. If he has AA/AJ/JJ/whatever beats me, he's going to just shove over my bet, and I'm going to call.

Right?
