Good check on flop to take your free card and not get c/r. Usually, I would call turn because of the great odds...almost 4:1 rather than raise. I figure, if the idiot is gonna give me the odds I'll take them...but I don't mind the aggressive approach either.

I like it, I don't see what villian could have that could call you here, maybe a weak 2 pair, but thats it. Villian obv doesn't have a monster here or he would have bet flop or b/3/b you AI on turn.

EDIT: Sorry misread the board, if the 8 was like a 2 or something I would like this much better. Villian could easily have JT/TT/AT as well as 2 pair here. Still, like the play just not as much with that river

NH.

bet the flop and take it down a ton of the time.
i think this is pretty silly vs an unknown, the weirdness of your line means that you basically have to fire a big bet on the river to make him fold anything (people never fold to this turn raise alone), which essentially screws up your bluffing odds.
also this is probably the worst river to bluff, it is very very very easy for him to have a ten here or make a crying call with 2pair.

Bet flop. Your flop and turn/river line are kinda incongruent. If you don't think it's a good idea to bet the flop, why do you think it's a good idea to raise the turn when the board gets even worse and you're bet into? Sure it's a weak bet, but I'd guess he'll bet weak with many holdings not folding to a raise. So if you want to check the flop, just call the turn.

I dump it preflop most often, it's not a standard call at least. I'm not all about nitpicking about preflop, you probably know it isn't standard and maybe you wanted to mix it up or had another reason to call. Making this call regulary without any read will be losing play, that's what I wanted to say.
