Default 5/T AJ and I get myself into a bad spot post flop.

5/10 online and I am in the BB with AJo. Main villian is in the BB and we have eff stacks of $1000. Button is v. bad and the reason I'm here, villian in BB doesn't seem great but is pretty loose and agro.

button min raises to $20 and I 3 bet from the sb to $70. BB calls and button folds so there is $160 in the pot.

Flop is monotone 962 and neither of my cards is trump. I bet $120 and sb calls. turn pairs the 9 and I check with the intention of folding but BB checks behind.

The river is an ace that does not complete the 4 flush. What the eff do I do?

If he is aggressive like you said then I'd be very wary of him checking the turn. Players like that love to call flop bets in position to take it away on the turn (though this may not be him because you said he was terrible). I think he's either sat on a flopped flush / boat or has a whiffed FD.

I really don't see any point in betting as his calling range beats the crap out of you and he may even raise it up.

Checking seems like the best play to me and seeing what he does, if he's aggressive like you say then you may be able to pick up a bluff - have you got any bet size reads on the guy? Will value bet 1/2 pot but bluff 3/4 pot?

I don't like calling a bit bet on the end here but at the same time I think the bigger his bet the more likely you are ahead.

Tricky one, I'd definitely want to show it down but as cheaply as possible. Maybe a blocking bet of ~ $100?

I didn't have any idea what his bluff/value bets looked like and he is probably capable of mixing them up anyways.

I couldn't figure out what to do and I almost ended up timing out before betting 200 because I knew I would feel sick facing a large river bet.

So now he min raises and I'm getting 5:1...

Check the flop bc he usually has a pair and will not fold. Bet the river for same reasons.
