NL50: AKs, aggressor leads the flop
At the time of the hand villian was relative unknown. My table image at the time was 14/9/6 over 120 hands.
Full Tilt Poker - No Limit Hold'em Cash Game - $0.25/$0.50 Blinds - 8 Players - (http://www.legopoker.com http://www.legopoker.com/hh) SB: $20.80 BB: $59.10 UTG: $19.40 UTG+1: $38.80 MP1: $50.00 Hero (MP2): $88.65 CO: $57.45 BTN: $76.65 Preflop: Hero is dealt As Ks (8 Players) UTG folds, UTG+1 calls $0.50, MP1 folds, Hero raises to $2.00, 3 folds, BB raises to $6.00, UTG+1 folds, Hero calls $4.00 Flop: ($12.75) Qs 4c 5s (2 Players) BB bets $8.25, Hero ???? I didn't consider calling, as I thought to see the river would be too expensive if I miss. Should I have 3bet preflop? If I PS it with a range of TT+/AQo+, I am a 51% favorite. |

Re: NL50: AKs, aggressor leads the flop
Let's say his range is QQ+. You have 37.35% equity. So on your push you're only losing $.42 every time you push and he calls. Add in fold equity and you have a very +ev push. Against KK+ you have 42.8% equity.

4-bet pf? no. [/ QUOTE ] It crossed my mind at the time to reraise him-but for some reason is f'ed up. I think I need adivce on how far to push AKs in position. Do you want to play for stacks preflop? 50NL is a pretty soft game and there are usually better opportunities. Thoughts? |

Re: NL50: AKs, aggressor leads the flop
Call in position is good. It can get tricky if a K hits though.
Q is an overcard to JJ and such. KK and AA aren't letting you see the river for a reasonable price. This is pretty much the flop you are looking for. Shove this all day. He should have to fold most of the time, you have lots of outs against most hand, and you still have plenty of outs even if he is holding the nuts |
