Default How much is your health worth?

Imagine the following scenario.

An eccentric billionaire will pay you $X per year to be injected with a virus that will make you constantly sick. Each injection lasts a year, and you can either renew or cancel each December 31st.

On a scale of 1 to 10, with 1 being a sniffle, and 10 being your deathbed, the sickness is about a 4. You definitely feel bad, but you're able to work and leave the house and you're not contagious at all. You just feel somewhat like crap all the time.

Sypmtoms include headaches, occasional nausea, body aches, occasional fever, runny nose, and a persistent cough.

Also, if you really, really take care of yourself, you can minimize the symptoms down to about a 2. If you booze it up and are hard on yourself, they will worsen.

But you will not die from the disease at any point, and, as I mentioned, you're not contagious.

2 questions. What is X, and how many years would you agree to this regiment?

SomethingClever:

X = >$10 million
Y (years) = 1

Then I'd hire someone to put a contract hit on that sick, sadistic bastard of a billionaire.

I think you should let OOT be more creative by giving them more control over the variables - sickness severity, length of time.

Shajen is onto something, though my price might be more than 10M for a year's worth of agony. Maybe more like 25M.

I guess I don't value my health. I'd do it for a minimum of $10,000.
