River play oop 5/10
Villain is pretty standard tight tag, 19/16/4, name sleepy80 on FTP, don't remember any particularly interesting history with him.
Big blind is an enormous whale (80/50 over 100 hands) who I can't for the life of me win a pot from. What do you do on the river here? 6 handed 5/10, 100bb stacks Hero raises AhJd UTG to 35, Villain calls HJ, BB fish calls. Flop: J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] BB checks, Hero bets $80, Villain calls, BB folds Turn: J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 6[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Hero bets $180, Villain calls River: J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 6[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] Pot ~$600, Stacks ~$700 Hero's action? IMO, I think it is between a very thin value bet or a check/fold, Villain certainly didn't call 2 streets with a naked flush draw and I doubt he turns a pair into a bluff if i check the river. Stack sizes, however, make a value bet awkward. |

Re: River play oop 5/10
At first glance, I like a check turn and call most river bets. If he bets the turn behind you, you can call and c/f the river more comfortably.
-I am checking turn precisely because of stack sizes. |

Re: River play oop 5/10
Eh, checking turn never even slightly occurred to me, especially as i'm 2 barreling a good amt of hands here (K, A hi FDs etc)

Re: River play oop 5/10
c/f probably
he's pretty tight, probably not drawing to the spade, and it looks like he's trying to showdown something |
