Re: How do you play TT here?
I'm new to MTTs but I've got to learn sometime.
This seems like a very interesting play by UTG because he has less than 10bb. He could easily be doing this with junk or he could also be doing it with a big hand that he is afraid won't get called by an open shove. However, if UTG+1 was just coming along for the ride with something like KQ, AJ, etc. we want to push him out of the hand and deal with the donk ourselves. I think a raise to around t1000 or t1200 should do the trick here. |

Re: How do you play TT here?
Unless UTG totally sucks, he's very strong raising 2x with < 10BBs. The money that you should be trying to get is in UTG+1's stack... If you call, SS Button will prob shove a very wide range here, then UTG will put in ~200 more. Now it will be on UTG+1. He will prob call (since he's loose pre)... Your equity in the main pot will prob not be b/e vs pot odds, but if u can get action in a 6K sidepot, you're way ahead of UTG+1's range.
I'm not sure if the action goes UTG raise, call, call, Button AI, UTG AI (only ~200 more), if UTG+1/Hero will be able to shove? If UTG+1 just calls, then if you can shove, you're playing for a 6k sidepot. The prob with the scenario above, is that it requires button to shove. If you 3-bet to 1200 pre, do u think that UTG+1 is likely to flatcall? |
