Call me a nit, but I fold preflop the first time around, and not just because it helps me avoid situations like this. Playing ATo OOP is pretty brutal.

Once you get to this point, I don't hate shoving because in my experience phatcat is looser than most preflop, so he's somewhat more likely to have a hand that he's forced to fold to a push. You're probably a pretty big dog against the shorty, but the dead money in the pot provides more than enough overlay against pretty much every conceivable range.

Huh? Reread OP for sb's stack. T35k = Total 35k. This is a preflop decision.
