3 folds, MP2 calls $2.00, CO folds, BTN raises to $8.00, SB folds, Hero calls $6.00, MP2 folds

Flop: ($19) 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 3[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 Players)
Hero bets $15.00, BTN raises to $40.00, Hero ???

No reads at table, is this a good spot to bet out the flop? If I do bet out this flop, I'm doing it for info so I have to fold to raise right?

He's going to CB like 90% of the time.

I'm not sure I like C/C without a read on opponent. Are you looking to shove any safe turn BT2? What's your plan for the rest of the hand?

I agree w BT2. c/c looks like the best line here. If you
c/r it might look like a draw and villain could give you a little shove (who knows). With the line you took I feel that folding is appropriate. At the same time donking a flop isnt always a bad thing in certain situations imo. I am more likely to do it in a multy pot.

so now you know exactly what he has? You didn't get the info you wanted from the looks of it. I'm in c/c camp. Also, I hate betting for info.

I think getting raised I have a lot better idea of what he has than I do when I check call his continuation bet.

What do I do on later streets, keep calling? What about any overcard turn?
