Final Pot: $320 So again I am struggling with my turn decisions. These two hands are not only similar because they are the same, but also their lines and decisions on the turn. Villain is solid. First hand is good, I think. 7 of spades is a scare card so I decided to check call because he might be bluffing, but I didn't believe he would bluff for the second time. Check fold river is standard, I think. Anyone folding the turn? Hand 2 I think I should check call turn and check fold river. Betting doesn't make no sense. |

Hand 1: I fold the turn a lot against average opponents.
I generally don't like calling turn if I'm not going to showdown on a non-scare card. Hand 2: Betting the turn seems like an invitation for any flush draw, or draw in general, to push you off with the scare card rolling off. C/C and check/re-eval river looks good. |

Hand 1 unless he has 45 or like T9 you are behind, but you are probably looking at 2-5 outs. This is a definite fold.
Hand 2 I like the bet/fold unless you have a read on him as being very aggressive. |

Your struggling on the turn because your misplaying the flop [/ QUOTE ] My flop checkraise range is very wide, yes. Would you just check call flop? Given the board texture, it might be a good idea. |

Also if im the villian and i know you check raise wide im smoothing almost any two and making your life hell on later streets. |

[/ QUOTE ] I have read your stuff for over 2 years now I have loads of respect for your opinion, but.... I really don't agree here. I can see where you are coming from but at these stakes people are not very likely to go over the top all in with AK for example. Basically what I'm saying is that when more money goes in here, top pair T kicker is almost never going to win For balancing reasons our hero needs to raise here with strong hands also, sure. But I think JT on this board is not one of them. Sometimes yes, as a standard no |
