really agressive guy, 2 hands, (AK, JT), both times top pair...
Okay, I want your opinion guys. The first hand, I really almost timed out and thought he probably really had AA or JJ or AJ, I wanted to reraise him all-in if he bet pot though.
Second hand I figured he's bluffing, but give me your opinions of the hands. JT was played horribly. I think you need to fold the JT to the flop raise. MOST (like a [censored]) players will bluff if they have SOMEthing. Calling the flop bet is setting up to payoff a better hand if you're not re-evaluating, which then you should be mucking the turn anyways

Okay, what if you see this guy just reraising each flop and turn and preflop like 90% of the time?

Re: really agressive guy, 2 hands, (AK, JT), both times top pair...
If he's doing that, then you push hand 1 all-in preflop. And on hand 2... I can't think of a single kind of opponent that calling three pot-sized bets for 142BB could be profitable against. If you're sure he doesn't have it on the flop, raise THEN and don't let him call the shots down the line. But folding would be infinitely better.
Are you looking for general anti-LAG advice? While they are bluffy, calling down with hands that only beat bluffs is no way to take advantage of them. |

Re: really agressive guy, 2 hands, (AK, JT), both times top pair...
There is a huge difference between good LAG players who know what they are doing, because they make more money than TAG's or are harder to play at least and MONKEYS, like this guy.
I was 6 tabling and didn't really notice he pushed every pot because I never had a hand at that table before the AK hand. After that I noticed it. So I should rather push than check call him, that's an option. |

For me, anyway, isolating these monkeys is a waiting game. They back down at any sign of strength, and walk over perceived weakness. Here you're giving him all the information he needs about your hand - it's good, but not worth raising, but not exactly bad, but all the money's going in the middle before you can say "fold equity". The trick is not pushing your hands, but letting them do the betting for you when you have something nicer than tens with a jack.
