I folded after being checkraised on turn based on my reads on the guy and a relative small pot. I hated myself afterwards though

I wouldn't fold either. sometimes I play my flush draws like this and raise the turn reprsesenting trips. works well usually

you are also ahead of many pockets. don't fold.

I absolutely agree with your reasoning. The problem here is that this guys does not bluff. Im absolutely sure hes got the gods. Ive shown strenght preflop and flop and still this passive calling staion reraises the turn. Against most players i would 3 bet or at least call the turn but i choosed oterwise against this player. Though he may have a overpair and my read may not be as acurate as i would like to think. One of the aspects of my game im working on, is when to fold top pair or overpair and i may have taken this too far this time..... (sigh)

with those stats he could also play a pp like this. Af doesn't indicate he's that passive. For a 70% guy it's pretty high.

Yeah i guess your right. What it all boils down to for me is how much do you trust your read on other players in hands like this? You say you routinely calls down with a bare ace in these kind of hands but is there anything that may want you to deviate from that strategy? If you were in my position and you were very certain it was a loose calling station raising you, would you still call down with a bare ace??. Is calling down with a ace also a part of your metagame?

Anyway, thx for your replies on my posts today, it wreally helps me a lot.

Agree, but he was runnig real hot during the session, which contributed to a higher af i think. anyway, looking at the hand retrospective and after reading your comments, i wouldnt have folded this hand if i could do it all over again. But i cant so...that sucks

I donīt fold here too because i often see 70% guys doing crazy stuffs even passive guys. Maybe he feel he has to gamble, who knows.
