Re: River in big pot vs unknowns.
I call and expect to see some missed draw or random bluff often enough.

Re: River in big pot vs unknowns.
I'd likely fold, but the pot is so big that could be a mistake. I can't see the button bluffing here versus the preflop raiser and the flop raiser. If we didn't have the Qd I'd fold to the turn raise.

Re: River in big pot vs unknowns.
his button limp behind a poster is more likely to come from a passive player. my estimate is we are good maybe 3-5% of the time. i'd fold here even vs. an unknown.

Re: River in big pot vs unknowns.
I misread the hand initially but I still call
I think that an unknown has the A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] or 8x (esp with a diamond) enough of the time |

Re: River in big pot vs unknowns.
yeah that is a pretty bold+retarded semibluff 3-way and then an even bolder+retardeder river bluff 3-way so i'm discounting the possibility of those hands by about 100%. the only way you're good is against a worse 9 which for some reason only called the flop and then raised the world's worst turn against two players who have shown strength earlier in the hand.

Miles.
You dont think he has 98, 87, Ad9, Ad7, Ad6, Kd9, Kd7, Kd6 or just Adx enough for hero to call this river? I am never folding here and I of course think your 3-5% is too low. |

Re: River in big pot vs unknowns.
i discount any hand w/ Ad a lot because he failed to raise preflop on the button vs. a poster and for reasons above (it being a clearly ridiculous play on the turn and river). any worse 9 i discount quite a bit for the flop play (and again the combination of not raising this flop and then raising this turn is quite unlikely with this hand).
also Ad9/Kd9 beats us. (so no ) |
