basically thanks to player suggestions Daniel was able to get these new games running very quickly.

if you value 50bb min buyin games online, e-mail support@pokerstars.com and bathe them in affection for their decision in the hopes that we can sway their team to let the 50bb "deepstack" games trickle down to all different stakes, in the hopes that one day in the future all online games at all stakes can work the same way.

I'm posting this in the PLO forum as well as I figure you guys would also like PLO tables to be at least 50bb deep, but that is up to you guys.

I don't understand why they don't just set them up for all levels of play and let the players choose. It's not like it takes effort on their part. I'm so sick of being unable to find 6 max tables with less than 3 shortstacks at each one. Let's hope it trickles down sooner rather than later.

Agreed. However, most of them would be at a decided disadvantage if they were forced to play larger stacks.

Not really. They just play a slightly different tactic, adjusting to the bigger minimum buyin. Which you have to play as well when you get into a pot with them. Most shortstackers are losing players, anyway, so it's only the good ones who'll adjust well, which is obviously to the fullstackers' benefit.

Yeah, I've noticed that I'm either up a tiny bit or dead even with most shortstackers when looking at my PT stats. However, they do pose a threat to the game, particularly insofar that they make full-stacked players adjust to their pre-flop antics and force a much tighter, conservative game than LAG players like myself prefer.

I've said this a billion times, it's really not that difficult to adjust. To be quite honest, most of the shortstackers are awful, and effectively dead money, and it's certainly not difficult to find out who the good shortstackers are. I really can't understand why so many people make such a big fuss over them.
