First off, hi everyone I'm new here, been browsing for a while...
I think I got a little too fancy with this hand... Location: Commerce Casino 200 NL table My stack: $750 Villan stack: $600 I get dealt 10 10 UTG+4, folded to me. I raise to $40. In LP the Villan calls, both blinds fold. A little background... the Villan just sat down at the table from a transfer with $600 in chips and I have no read on his play yet he seems to be a very talkative fellow. Flop comes 6 5 6. I bet out $80, I dont really have a read at this point except hoping he has something like AQ. He instantly raises to $200. I think for a while here and decide to call thinking he is trying bet me off the pot (this could have been my first misplay). The turn is a 10 and I quickly check. This is where it gets interesting.. he begins talking.. asking if I have a set of tens and eventually bets out $100. I call his bet hoping to trap him for the rest of his chips here, in hindsight I think of should have gone all-in?? Anyway, the river is a blank and I check hoping that he bets out again and I re-raise all-in. He begins talking again about how he picked up a tell on me or some BS and checks as well. He turns over A6s for flopped trips and I show my full house. For the next 10 minutes he wont shut up about his great read . I know I could have had his entire stack in the pot this hand but I don't really have enough information about his play or the supposed tell that I have. So besides having friends watch me play and analyze my body language how might I have better played this hand on the flop, turn, river? thanks |
