NL400: Allin on open end draw, Line check

Villain is unknown to me. I've only played about 20 hands with him and he hasn't done anything of note. I am just making the transition from 1/2 to 2/4 and would like comments on my thought process and bet sizing.

Pf I would mix it up between calling and 3 betting (villain dependent). In this case with there being less money in the pot, with there being no small blind, I felt calling to be the best option. When checked to me on the flop, its an easy bet but was my bet size a little weak? I though it weird that villain checked raise me on such a drawy board. I felt he would bet most hands on such a board not wanting to run the risk of giving a free card to a straight draw. So his check raise to me was either a set or a play because my bet was weakish. Thoughts? Normally 2 overs plus open ender is an easy shove - was pushing the correct play if I think villain either has a set or a bluff?

I would bet more like $32 and probably just call the raise and see a turn. I don't think your hand deserves a push here versus an unknown. Wait till you know the player a little more to make this play.

yeah I dont think you have any real FE for the shove - but isn't a fold better than a call here assuming villain wont give a free card on the turn?

As played just call the cr, you have position, he will likely slow down with most of his bluffs so you can fold to a turn bet UI most of the time

UTG is almost always huge here and never folding.

He's got like 80 BBs, which makes it close I think, but probably it's a fold to his raise on the flop. If stacks were 100BBs I would call and spike the 8 outer.

Lead the flop for $28, call the raise. Shoving is yuck because you have little FE.
