Default 25NL - Flopped set on a 3-flush board faces heavy action

Villain is 55/3/3 (only 29 hands)

Party Poker - No Limit Hold'em Cash Game - $0.10/$0.25 Blinds - 5 Players - (LegoPoker Hand History Converter)

SB: $20.80
BB: $30.66
Hero (UTG): $23.90
CO: $27.94
BTN: $36.76

Preflop: Hero is dealt J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (5 Players)
Hero raises to $1.00, 3 folds, BB calls $0.75

Flop: ($2.10) 4[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 Players)
BB checks, Hero bets $2.00, BB raises to $5.00, Hero raises to $8.00, BB raises all-in to $29.66, Hero?

Should I have just called his first raise? After he's all-in I thought I was committed, or was I on 15:25 call?

Pot: 2+5+8+(30-5=25)=40
To call: 30-8=22
40:22 given those odds and the fact that he could have a lower set or some AcJc (less likely Ac4c, Ac7c) I'd say we call

You cold also just flat call the flop raise and reevaluate or push (if you think he might fold a small flush, unlikely though) on the flop instead of this strange small raise.
Your raises are def. too small though

I get it all in on the flop every time here -- especially against a 55/3. Most donks like that will flat call with a made flush (even a small flush) and get aggressive on the turn.

Sorry, I had only $23.90 at the start of the hand, so after he pushed all in I had only 24-1-8=15 left to call his raise

You should have 3bet much larger, if not just pushed after his flop c/r.

Don't flat call, and definitely don't min rr.

All I read was "party poker", and I didn't need to see anything else. Get it all in on the flop

Arr-in every time here. Villians range is much wider than a made flush. And you still have 7 outs, so you're not completely running dead if he has a made flush.

PSA: Party poker is NOT as soft as you think it is.

OP, getting stacked with a set on a 3 flush board is just a cooler. Don't even consider folding this, ever. You'll be amazed with how often you see 2pr, lone clubs, lower sets, overpairs, etc etc. Get it all in every time here!
