Default NFL Week One lines

WSEX has the Eagles -3 at Green Bay. What does everyone think of this line? The Eagles look like a great bet here.

Okay let's try another road favorite:
I also like Denver -3.5 at Buffalo.

Let's use this thread for week one since there does not seem to be a similar thread. Thanks.

St. Louis at home PK vs Carolina - love the Rams here.

I think the Packers look like the right side. Home teams always do well in week 1 historically (I guess u'll just have to trust me cuz I don't have the proof to show u). BUT I do have this for you:

sportsinsights.com has 84% on the Eagles and the line opened at pinny on -3 -104...... RIGHT NOW the line is -3 +107. 5dimes is even showing -2.5 -120 so you have 80+% on your side and the line is still moving the other way. Using common logic it seems like all the square bettors are on Philly and all the big money bettors like Green Bay.

You can apply the same logic to Denver but its not as bad as the above case. 72% is on Denver and the line started at -103 and is now at +102.

In general laying 3.5 points on a road favorite is like the kiss of death for NFL betting (exceptions occur) but for the most part don't do it.

I put a ton - probably too much - stock in homefield in general. For Philly under the Reid/McNabb era it seems to have meant a lot less than average. I kinda like the Eagles there too.

I have no clue why people like the Rams this year. Carolina/Miami were just overhyped teams a year ago who may be undervalued this yr IMO.

Vikings -2.5 vs. Atl looks appealing to me.

Eagles line looks right on I wouldn't touch that.

I like the Rams +1, Skins -3, Pitt -4.5, Vikings -2.5, and Lions +1.5

No one has mentioned it yet but I actually think best game this weekend in NFL is Giants +6 especially with recent developments in Dallas this week with injuries.

Thanks much. I too am high on the Redskins and Broncos in week 1. Any thoughts on the Eagles -3 and the Steelers -4.5?
