Beat: I have aged poorly
I have just sat down at my local 6/12 game. I am wearing sandals, a tee shirt that says "WYST National Team, 1995" in big letters and nike sandals.
The blinds pass (you don't have to post to come in at this casino, so I chose to wait 2 hands instead of coming in as the BB). Then this happens: Dealer: Are you ready for a hand now? Hero: I'm always ready. Except the last two hands. But I'm ready now. Woman in Seat 1, laughing: Always ready? Except when you were going to get married, right? Hero, checking to see if class ring has migrated to left ring finger: Um, I've never been married. Seat 1: How did I know? Hero: Probably because I look about 19? Seat 1, laughing: I see the gray hairs and bags under your eyes, you do not look close to 19. Hero: OK....How old do I look? Seriously, I'm curious. Seat 1: I'd say 44. OK, so I do have a few gray ones and probably looked like hell, but I am 25 years old and had gotten carded at the door on my way in (even though I play there 4 times a week...new guy).

All she was saying is that because you dress like a slob or some bachelor going to the beach (or a shower at his dorm), it's clear you don't have a female significant other in your life. If you did, no t-shirt and sandals. But maybe you do look 45; I doubt it. You probably look late-20s. How old was the lady?
