how much money does the average 20-21 year old have?

This is bank accounts, assets all added up, anything you own. What's the average amount of money a 20-21 yr old have these days ? I feel like I am broke.

I'm guessing my 20 yr old friends have about 3-5k on average saved up. Some have alot more, some alot less

Are you talking how much actual cash they have or what their net worth is? Most 20-21 year olds will be negative if it is the latter.

okay i see. It's like most people i know have around 2K or so and i forgot about the whole overall net worth since i only think about cash.

I've got about 30k in cash in the bank and I'm getting about 5% on it right now... going to be investing most of it come Fall while still keeping it as liquid as possible (for bankroll purposes). most of my friends are close to broke though, so I have no idea [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]
