AKs - One of those combo draws
No reads on villain, but he won some pots recently (4 in the last 7 hands).

Re: AKs - One of those combo draws
Shove or flatcall flop... no reason to leave him with 3.35 in a 10.85 pot. A flop as low as this I shove... If it were something like Q6Q I'd flatcall, because it's a lot more likely we are only called when drawing to 9 outs instead of 15.

Re: AKs - One of those combo draws
Oh well, maybe you suck him with a smaller raise when he's real stupid... I still prefer a shove

Re: AKs - One of those combo draws
if BB has a FD i want him to call, i think a shove is an overbet and commits me. If BB was going for a c/r i would unnecessarily put in a lot of money.

Re: AKs - One of those combo draws
A shove commits you allright . Leaves nothing to commit though it's a matter of definition i guess.... haha
A raise also commits you and him though. So you both should know you are playing for stacks and for showdown as soon as you make a raise on this flop. Therefore you might as well get it allin IMO. On the other hand, your opponent might be too stupid to realise this and call a smallish raise to find himself committed at the turn. Not likely though, he'd need to be real stupid and you DO give a free card playing like that. |

Re: AKs - One of those combo draws
do you realise, that i dont want to play for stacks with BB is still in the hand, therefore i am calling

Re: AKs - One of those combo draws
Flop is fine. Depending on villain's range you've got decent odds to call the turn. I think fold or call are both fine here. This is really no big deal imo

Re: AKs - One of those combo draws
Though you are getting very good odds to just call the flop to hit your hand, so that also has merit

[ QUOTE ]
do you realise, that i dont want to play for stacks with BB is still in the hand, therefore i am calling [/ QUOTE ] You are raising when BB is in the hand, not calling... But I see your point, I misread and see he still has too much left for a push.... Your right. Also you are not losing equity in a multiway pot, since you have the nut FD. You have 35% equity on the FD alone, maybe more with the overs, so if BB calls you actually gain pot equity: 35% equity when you put in 33% of the money. |
