Default How to avoid AA\'s cracked on flop: Asking for advice

This was on Poker School Online, where there are many serious players, but also the other kind -- no money, just ranks to compete for.

I opened with AA with a standard raise in middle position. Got 2 callers, and 1 raise, from the BB. Guy had been playing stupidly, but had made it to the 100/200 level anyway. I reraised the pot, and he called, head up now. We had about equal stacks (near T20,000, which was the buy-in, so we'd both been just staying even, up and down. We had about T10K each left at this point, as I remember.

Flop came QJx, he went all-in, putting me all-in too when I called. Should I have? It is hard for me to lay down AA lke that to an erratic player, even knowing I could easily be beat, what with QJ showing on the flop. Should I have folded? Gone all-in pre-flop, instead of just raising the pot (he might have folded to an all-in bet)?

I know this happens all the time, but some people handle it more successfully than I did.

I meant I was dealt AA, I open raised 3 big bets in mid position, reraised by erratic player in big blind, re-raised the pot in response to his re-raise, got cracked by QJo on flop. It was 100/200 level, about 2/3 of the 100 starters were left. I was eliminated from the tournament at that point.

Always fold AA to any aggression on a flop in a 3bet pot. This will avoid you losing your entire stack.
