Default $2.20 - Early, top pair, paired board

Hey guys. First post here. I used to reside in micro stakes limit, but I'm switching to STT.

I didn't have any reads on this guy.

BB (t1020)
UTG (t1480)
UTG+1 (t1880)

MP2 (t1410)
Hero (t1450)
CO (t3230)
Button (t1470)
SB (t1480)

Preflop: Hero is MP3 with J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img].

SB checks, Hero bets t325, SB calls t325.

River: (t1350) T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players)
SB bets t835 (All-In), Hero folds.

Final Pot: t2185

Looking back, I think I should have just folded top pair on the flop since this guy was in the SB and easily could have had a 6. I had top pair though, and I figured just calling would have made the rest of the hand too difficult to play.

On the turn I assumed I was still ahead since he didn't raise me on the flop.

I would have checked behind him if he let me on the river, but after he went all in I was pretty sure I was beat and didn't have the odds to call.

Let me know what you think about everything.
Thanks in advance.

Fold preflop.

Just call the flop and try to have a cheap showdown.

For that, check the turn.

Now it's a big pot and folding sucks. It's close.

Exactly this, I think at this level I stack off on river as it's not overly unlikely that he has a random queen that we beat.
