Hi everyone,

Is there anywhere you can go for help making picks in a survival pool? Something along the lines of: Given X players in a pool, the 07 schedule, and Vegas's current NFL futures, the optimum picks in a survivor pool are:

The optimum pick is the biggest available favorite on the board at all times.

No matter how many players, no matter what the 07 schedule.

This isn't true at all. If there is a 100 man league and 99 are following your advice, you should take any other team regardless of whether they at a 20-1 dog or not.

Separation while giving up minimal expectation is also v v important in pools or survivor league.

In reality you'll likely hear about who most people are picking and instead pick a team that might have a lower chance to win, but who very few other people are on. A 60% chance that 5 out of a 100 are on is much better than a 63% chance that 45 people are on.
