Default it is a beautiful game (Warning: LC)

So I'm playing live 6/12 last night at a nitty/tight table, when two players I respect (and are very much part of the nitty/tight problem) get called for changes to table 3. I walk my butt up to 3 to see what all the fuss is about and find the largest fish I know with 3 racks in front of him.

5 minutes later, I'm seated at table 3, and on the very first hand the following pot occurs 9 handed, with Fish in the SB.

Call, call, call, hero folds, call, call, button raises, fish 3 bets, all call, button 4 bets, fish caps, all call.

8 ways to the flop. pot is 20 big bets.

7s 3s 2s

Fish bets, BB raises, 2 cold calls, MP 3 bets, some folds, Button makes it four, fish caps, all call.

6 ways to the turn for 35 big bets.

7s 3s 2s brick

I honestly don't remember what this card was. But it was not a spade and did not pair the board.

The action at this point gets a little fuzzy, but 5 players end up calling 2 bets. Astonishingly, nobody is all in.

5 handed to the river with 45 Big Bets.

7s 3s 2s brick spade

I don't remember the value of the spade, but it did not pair the turn card.

Checks around to the preflop raiser on the button, who bets. 3 players call him, and he tables As Kc, for a one card nut flush. Someone held 45s for a straight flush draw, and someone held KJs for the second nuts. Fish threw his hand in the much and no one had the heart/balls to ask to see it.

The dealer pushes the pot to him in three separate motions. I think it was about $600. It was just amazing to behold.

I'm a big fan of the AKo.. it's a helluva lot easier to play than a middle pair.

Being the only person at the table who didn't put at least 30 dollars into that pot was very nice. The whole table, except me, when on insta-tilt. The guy who won it lost 250 in the next 30 minutes before cashing out, and we had 4 or 5 more capped preflop pots in the next orbit. It was amazing. And I owe it all to Fish.

I'll be playing with him tonight, sitting on his left, and buying him dinner most likely.
