QQQ x 2
canterbury 30 game last friday, game is great only two known faces the rest are drunken blackjack players...
utg raises, 1 call, mp 3-bets, lp calls, hero 4 bets QQ from sb, all call 3-bettor now caps... 5 to the flop for 5 bets flop: 4h 6c 7d hero bets, utg calls, next folds, mp raises, lp 3-bets, hero 4-bets, utg folds, mp caps, lp calls, hero calls, turn: Qs hero bets, mp calls, lp raises, hero 3-bets, mp calls, lp 4-bets... mp can have any pocket pr over 7's, lp is quite lag and is great for the game, but has a huge range for preflop 3cold... do we elect for cap or call and c/c brick? .... same situation about an hour later, utg+1 raises, call, mp-3 bets, lp calls, hero 4-bets QQ and all call... 5 to the flop for 4 bets... flop: Qh Tc 9s utg+1 bets, next in folds, mp raises, lp calls, hero 3-bets and all call... 4 to the turn for 3 bets turn: 6d checks to hero who bets, all call and lp now c/r's... (same lp as last hand)... do we like to go 3 and call the 4th down, or call down from this point... these situations are not the difficult initially because we only have two options, but determining when to put on the brakes in big pots will often save multiple big bets in slim spots |

Re: QQQ x 2
Hand 1: His huge range preflop calling 3 included 85 and 53? I wouldn't slow down until a few more bets go in.
Hand 2: While you may be behind, I would 3 bet just because of all the other people in there, and then slow down to a 4-bet. If it was heads up, I might slow down... On a side note, would it be better to slow down because others ARE in the pot, and getting them to call 1 more would be better for us than folding to 2 more? But the pot is big, so do what it takes to protect your hand. 3 bet, and get those AJ and AK to pay through the roof to draw. |

Re: QQQ x 2
Hand 1 cap and if he bets river just call.
Hand 2 normally I wouldnt 3 bet here, but given your relative position I would raise. I think you are good enough of the time to invest 3rd bet to protect your hand against the multitude of sds. |

Re: QQQ x 2
Hand 1: Cap and lead.
Hand 2: Call down at best. Any additional money besides that is spew. |

Re: QQQ x 2
For hand 2, what do you know about LP? Would he call 3 cold with KJ or 87? Based on his play, I'd almost discount 87, since he has to be worried about drawing dead (or very, very slim) on the flop. IMO, he's more likely to have TT or 99 than KJ. Therefore, I'd re-raise on the turn, since the people you have to worry about drawing out on you are the ones with random kings or jacks (AK is probably out there)...you want to charge these guys the max (and they'll still probably call 2 more on the turn).

Re: QQQ x 2
notor you missed out on a beautiful game... almost every friday is sickeningly good this past month 3-4 donors minimum from 4pm on... anyhow, the hands...
LP range was so wide i went upstairs one more time on each hand, and found out how drastic his range was in hand 1 when i check called river when he tried raising before i had even bet... in hand 2 i was paid off in 2 spots by 1 pair... great game as i said (LP had 53 in 1 and AT in 2) |
