Looking to send my parents on a golf trip, suggestions?

My parents anniversary is coming up and I thought a golf trip would be a good idea. They both love the game, dad shoots in the 90's, mom 100-105. They live on Long Island and a 3 hour drive would be fine. I am looking to spend around $500.

I looked up some packages on the net, the problem is I have no idea if any of these places are good. Ideally I would like to send them to an Inn/B&B that has charm, good golf and some type of town (restaurants, antiquing etc...). Suggestions would be appreciated.

Try Pinehurst although I think that it's a little too far and maybe a little pricey. You can do one night, 2 days and 1 round of golf for about $600.
