Okay to play poker on laptop at school?

So, I'm bringing my laptop to school most days and I want to know if it'll be safe to play poker over the wireless network on campus. To use their wireless, you have to log on, but after that I don't think you have to do anything else. I'm pretty sure the likelihood of intercepting my packets and decoding what cards I have and such are rare, but I'm more worried about whether or not a hacker can get my passwords and stuff for my poker sites.

Any advice?

well, i did get hacked on my wireless on absolute... which they didnt refund.

it should be safe, but change your password regularly and run virus checks or whatever. and obv dont save your password. you should be fine if you just protect yourself

FT is famous for security leaks. I don't think using your school's wireless will really increase that risk or anything...

wireless systems are much less secure, fwiw

Most schools have rules against gambling on campus. You probablly shouldn't play cards there. College IT departments are pretty advanced now. Your's might be monitoring for 'illegal' activity. The risk of getting caught is not worth the reward. Any type of disciplinary sanction looks horrible on a college transcripts. Just study while at school and play off campus.
