Villain hasnt played a hand that went to show down and played pretty tight. He seemed passive though.
It looks like a draw that hit, or an overpair, or a combo draw to me. I really like my hand and think I have to call, but I'm not really sure.

I doubt calling's the right move - especially if the dude's been really tight. He knows you have some sort of hand, why would he go all in if he can't beat 9s? Especially because he's passive. The reason passive players are passive is because they want to "save" money by not betting when they might not have the best hand. So why would he go all in on the turn with 8 high if he knows you might have him outkicked or have a high pocket pair?

Likely possibilities are a completed straight and two pair 86. I think you're down more than 2/3 the time, so calling would be -ev.

Then again I play at these micros and I can see firsthand how dumb players here can be. Sometimes thinking is counterproductive here so whatever and use ur best judgment.

Yeah I know that at these stakes, players are capable of very stupid moves, that's why I think I have to call here because my hand is going to be good a lot more often.

Villain could have Axsuited here or AK/AQ/AJ/A10 a lot of times so that might make a call worthwile. You really don't know sometimes with NL10, some people call big raises with all kinds or rubbish.

*grunch* I play this exactly the same and getting something like 3-1 with so many outs plus the chance that you're ahead, this is an easy call for me.
