Default Vista Tilt! - Unidenitifed Network/Access: Local Only

So this happens to me once in a while, I usually troubleshoot out of it fiddling around in network and sharing center.. but this time I'm stuck.

I put my comp to sleep and opened it up, it is connected to a wireless router (linksys), and was working fine.. now there's this unidentified network saying access is local only.. It says I'm connected to my wireless network and that signal strength is good but I'm not able to connect to the internet.. I did a google search and there are a lot of threads/problems with Vista OS's, but all the jargon was over my head and I couldn't find a definitive solution

Thanks for your help

Also, when I try to connect by just wiring it up via the router.. it just says "identifying", and limited connectivity

If I remember right from the little reading I have done, this is a known problem with Vista not being able to properly come out of a sleep mode and function correctly on all aspects of the operating system that were running before it went to sleep. This includes the network.

You might be SOL if you system is falling victim to this.
