Default Would pay $$ for Free Time?

Time is money - but how much is it worth?

Pretend a genie offered to extend your day to 30 hours.

What % of your hourly rate would you be willing to pay per hour for these extra 6 hours a day?

The hours can't be stored or sold to someone else.
You can perform all normal functions during the extra time.

Assume you are getting paid what you are worth now - not working some crappy job as you get your college degree.

You can work extra at your job but you will earn your normal wage, not overtime.

I don't see how anything over 100% could be chosen. F work, I choose the lowest number possible.

Say you make $100 per hour.

You need to work all 40 hours to pay for things.

Don't you think he would pay $10 for an extra hour of free time or to work another hour and be $90 ahead?

He would probably pay $20, 30,,,,etc.

How about someone like Bill Gates who doesn't need the money but would like to spend more time with his family?

Don't you think he would pay 500% or something to have more time?

I work 8 hours a day and am taxed like 35%, so unless I get a second job I won't even be able to afford that time at anything more than like 60%, not including food and water and all that crap.
Does everyone else get this extra time as well, or is time 'frozen' or something like that for those 6 hours?

No, they'd work less. Why would I work 5 extra hours for 1 more hour of free time?

Are you thinking of starting a business that will take care of time consuming tasks for people?
