Any good space-based strategy games?

For some reason I have some insatiable desire to play a good space-based strategy game lately. Call me a nerd or whatever but meh. So I'm wondering if any of you guys know of any good ones. I've already tried Galciv II, Space Empires V and Sword of the Stars, and the only one of those I liked (SEV) was way too buggy and too easy to actually enjoy.

So are there any other ones out there you guys could reccomend I try? Thanks.

Master of Orion I, II or III. The first ones are best, but obviously not so good graphics.

I would concur with this over MOO, but both are good. There's a new one that came out recently, Space Rangers 2 I think that got good reviews. Also, Galactic Civilizations 2 is supposed to be a good one.

MOO2 is generally considered the best of the lot. IIRC I played it on Win2k and XP without having to do much. 3 was a huge letdown.
