Re: 200: 33 Has the Magic
Call flop, and hope MP2 raises (hope he has AK or AQ and not AA or QQ), and then hope BB calls with some draw KJ JT hearts etc, and then make big raise.
Or just be normal and raise to 30 or 40. If set over set vs MP2 that is tough luck, but the key here is to try and get a big pot vs the deeper stack. |

raise to $40-50 [/ QUOTE ] You feel like that's better than waiting for MP2 or do you just not want to rely on him? |

Re: 200: 33 Has the Magic
Anyway, this hand might not be that intersting. But, I called here, and MP2 made it $35 to go, the BB called, and I made it $150, and they folded.

It will suck when he calls/folds and a heart falls on the turn. Also, serious question, if we raise and MP2 shoves, BB calls, can we raise again? I know there is a raising cap in some games i cant remember whether this is only in PL games though. I tried slow playing a set on almost exactly the same board a few days ago. Turn was a J and i got stacked by KT |

If you're going to call the original bet just call the raise and try to get AI on the turn by c/r or leading small. |

Also, I'm fine with announcing it when they've both already put a significant amount of money in the pot. I've no problem with either or both folding now. |

I'd also like to get value out of both players not just the bb. [ QUOTE ] I've no problem with either or both folding now. [/ QUOTE ] My first reaction was to say "wtf" but now I want to ask, why? |

[/ QUOTE ] I think I would have played it similarly. You have to be willing to let it go though, as there are many bad cards that can fall. I think it played out perfectly, as I am only calling b/c there is a chance MP will raise, but I'm certainly not just calling again b/c they will surely slow down unless they hit. Raising to $150 instead of pushing is sort of silly though, a push looks a lot more like a semi-bluff. I don't mind a raise to $40 either though, as if you are bringing 2 people into this pot there are going to be 2 legitimate hands and while you are good almost always on the flop, the board is very dangerous. If you're lucky someone will not be able to let go of their draw or paired hand. |
