what are the LEVELS of thinking???

Hi guys, have recently heard things like "3rd level thinking" etc..

can anyone clarify what they are?

Most basic level: what cards do I have, what do I beat, and what beats me?

Next level: what cards does my opponent have?

Next level: what does my opponent think I have?

Next level: what does my opponent think that I think he has?

etc

Ideally, you're thinking one level above the level that your opponent is thinking. Thinking beyond that is pretty much a waste of effort.
