Default AKs from Button in Blindbattle - NL10

Hello everyone! I ve been lurking the forums a few months now and decided that it s time to start posting hands

I started out playing at NL2 and have increased my roll to 500$ and i ll be moving to NL25 once i reach 600$. I mostly 2 table.

This is basically a preflop sanity check for me + i m testing the hand history converter. So be gentle since it s my first hand

Villian is 50/2/6 over 100 Hands. I have been stealing blinds quite a bit. So far he has raised only once in this session (a Minraise in the Button were he didn t show down his hand). I m 27/15/2.6 at the table with 55% blind stealing.

Poker Stars
No Limit Holdem Ring game
Blinds: $0.05/$0.10
5 players
Converter

Stack sizes:
UTG: $0.45
CO: $13.15
Hero: $9.35
SB: $22.50
BB: $3.55

Pre-flop: (5 players) Hero is Button with A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]
2 folds, Hero raises to $0.4, SB raises to $0.8, BB folds, Hero ???

Against someone with a higher preflop raise percentage the standard play would be a push right?

So what s the villians range here? My rough guess would be about 10+ and AK here.

So against this range i m about 43 to 57 dog:

Hand 0: 43.375% 31.03% 12.35% 17532855 6976617.00 { AcKc }
Hand 1: 56.625% 44.28% 12.35% 25019943 6976617.00 { TT+, AKs, AKo }

So this is basically not a good situation to push because i m at best 50-50 if i add a bit of bluffing probability to the mix.

Reraising to some other amount also sucks because then i m committed and obviously i can t fold.

So my best option here would be to call and see if an ace or king peels off?

just call the re-raise, no need to shove.

you're definitely not pot-commited if you re-raise btw.

Chawla is right, you will not be pot committed if you raise... I think you have to go a bit on feel here, if you think villain is getting sick of you stealing his blinds, then I would re-raise here to about 2.5-3 and fold to a push (though it would help if you had a full stack).

If you think villain is a bit of a donk, which from his stats seems likely, I would just call and re-evaluate the flop. I think that if an A or K comes on a fairly dry flop then you can be quite confident of being ahead, though beware or the player who minraises monster hands.
