i hate river call in 1st hand 2. 2nd hand is fine but i would have reraised all in myself

1st hand: The AI from SB and the call from BB are a desaster but you get the right odds to call. On the flop you flop your nut-flush-draw which makes you a 2:1 dog to win this hand by the river. But - and that´s important!! - as BB shows real strength (without a good made hand like TP he would probably just check it down while one player is all-in) and you can expect to get a decent turnbet which you wouldn´t be able to call anymore. So you are 4:1 to hit on the turn, which is unprofitable for you. So the only alternatives are pushing as a semi-bluff (which gets you the sidepot of about 4k) or folding. I probably had pushed. The turn is ok as you get the right odds. But what the hell are you doing on the river? Did I misread something? [img]/images/graemlins/smirk.gif[/img] Even with 7:1 I wouldn´t have called this with just a pair of 4s. What do you think, Villain bet on all streets, consistently getting a call from you? I would expect Villain to table at least (!!) a Q or even more likely QJ here. => Super-easy fold!!

2nd hand: In a normal tourney (where you´re looking for the 1st place) it looks fine, as the raise from Villain seem to be an isolation raise with a mediocre hand like AK/medium PP - but your question as well as the headline ("WSOPE Freeroll") seem to indicate that this is a satellite. Correct? Then it is very important to know how many seats are paid? If you are very near to the bubble - fold. If maybe only the first two are paid - call.
