FTOPS event 9 vs Eric Lindgren
The last round or two i've been pretty aggressive getting some really good starting hands. This is about 10-15 minutes after the add on.
During the rebuy period Eric would often call my raises OOP and donk into me on the flop, and since i was hitting nothing i gave him a ton of folds. I've been pretty tight with what i commit a large portion of chips with. His hand looks strong, your line doesn't seem like it would match any hand at all, except maybe TT. What hand or hands are you trying to represent here?

Re: FTOPS event 9 vs Eric Lindgren
Ehh, I don't think he will give you credit for a big hand cause you'd probably raise flop w/ an overpair+, I think if he has like 66, he's bet/calling turn. So if his turn range contains enough hands worse than 66, I guess it's fine. TBH, I don't really know how wide his turn range is.

Lindgren doesn't know me from any other random FTOPS spaz, i didn't do anything in the first hour that would make him think i'm a good thinking player in particular. It's very possible that plenty of people in FTOPS or slowplay donkeys who will flat a big pair on this flop intending to jam turn, how does Lindgren know me apart from them after 1 hours play in rebuy period? |

Re: FTOPS event 9 vs Eric Lindgren
I don't hate the line, but the prob is that I don't think he's double barreling often here. If you've been giving up to his donk bets previously, when you call here he has to think you like your hand, so I think he wants action more often than not on the turn.
Contrarily, his range is pretty wide to donk into you on the flop given your image and the texture. How do people feel about a flop raise? |

Re: FTOPS event 9 vs Eric Lindgren
the trouble with a flop raise is that stacks are really weird for it. i mean, i guess you can make it 1500 or so, but then you're left debating whether to call off your last ~4400 if/when he pushes.

[/ QUOTE ] I think a flop raise is best - you have plenty of FE, you certainly don't mind taking down the pot right here, if he pushes you probably have 10 clean outs/may be flipping etc. |

Re: FTOPS event 9 vs Eric Lindgren
I might well like OP's line a lot. I'd want to see the whole hand history replay to get a sense of how he views us but with the right tight image this can easily look like TT+ waiting for a blank turn to get busy.
In a vacuum, I'd just raise the flop. I'd assume that, snug as he is here, we'll get some folds or, better still, he'll call and fold the turn. |
