Do I own what I post here?
This came up in the t-shirt thread in bbv4lyfe (this one). When someone posts something on 2p2, does the site own the content, or does the poster own it? For example, what if a strategy poster wants to write a poker book and they copy the text of one of their posts verbatim? What if TJ Combo wants to turn an MSPaint into a painting and sell it? What if I want to sell my PM correspondence with MissChriss so that future generations will know of the greatest love story since that sinking ship movie? Does 2p2 hold the legal rights to any of this content, or does the poster retain the right?
Also, what if Chump Change coins a new catchphrase and some guy puts it on a t-shirt and tries to sell them? |
